Welcome to Gurudwara Sahib of Houston. Our vision is to make a positive impact upon the Sikh community in the Houston area by making the Gurudwara Sahib a focal point for the Sikh community where all individuals and families can gather and flourish in Sikhism and seek Guru’s blessings in their lives. Gurudwara Sahib of Houston is actively involved in bringing the Sikh community together and striving to be not only a place of worship, but a place where Sikh community’s social, cultural and ethnic needs may also be fulfilled.

We strongly believe that in order for any culture to maintain its heritage, It is important that we impart the knowledge of our language to our children. Keeping up with this spirit, Punjabi School at the Gurudwara Sahib holds Gurumukhi classes every Sunday from 11:00am to 12:15pm. We encourage all participants of the Gurudwara Sahib community to enroll their children in the Punjabi School. Punjabi school session coincides with HISD calendar and we invite students of ages between 4 – 16 to enroll. Punjabi school enrollment starts in August and students may be enrolled until 2 weeks into the school session.
In the service of the community, Medical services are voluntarily provided by Dr. Inqlabi Thandi every first Sunday of the month at the Gurudwara Sahib premises.
Great communities are known by their places of worship. In keeping up with this spirit, Waheguru has offered us an opportunity to get involved in the construction of a building project for Gurudwara Sahib of Houston. In addition, Gurudwara Sahib is in contract to purchase an adjacent 1 Acre lot. Closing for this lot is scheduled for May 28, 2009, however, we plan to close this deal by Vaisakhi. This project when completed will have a langar hall on the ground floor, residence for Ragis of the Gurudwara Sahib, Punjabi School and administrative office on the 2nd floor. In addition, we plan to build a basketball court, a large scale generator, new sceptic system and additional parking lots.
